  • JOB TITLE: INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

REPORTS TO:                       INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGER

STATION:                              HEAD OFFICE

Job Purpose:

To guarantee smooth operation of the organisation’s IT systems.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Servicing IT Equipment.
  • Repairing faulty infrastructure.
  • Monitoring systems and networks.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues and problems.
  • Automating business processes.
  • Developing and maintaining electronic systems.
  • Conducting security risk assessment.
  • Implementing security measures.
  • Conducting security awareness and training.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer related disciplines
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

CRITICAL OR TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Communication skills
  • Time Management
  • Problem solving skills

 

 

  • JOB TITLE: PROCUREMENT OFFICER

REPORTS TO:                       PROCUREMENT MANAGER

STATION:                              HEAD OFFICE

Job Purpose:

To procure goods and services for the Commission.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing Annual Procurement Plan for the Commission.
  • Consolidating of Departmental Procurement Plans.
  • Implementing the Procurement Plan.
  • Preparing of bidding documents.
  • Advertising of tenders.
  • Drafting of Contract Documents.
  • Evaluating Supplier Performance.
  • Drafting of periodic procurement returns.

Education and Qualifications

  • Degree in Purchasing and supply or any equivalent qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience

CRITICAL OR TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Problem-solving skills
  • High accuracy
  • Ethical behaviour
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Good understanding of key computer packages
